Saber Interactive has officially announced "Stuntman: Hollywood," a new entry in the classic action-racing series. The reveal came during Sony's latest State of Play showcase, marking the return of a franchise that has been dormant for years.
The game promises a blockbuster experience, letting players pull off over-the-top stunts inspired by major Universal Pictures films. Confirmed franchises include Fast & Furious and Back to the Future, with more movie tie-ins expected. The focus is on recreating high-octane chase sequences and dangerous jumps, all from the perspective of a Hollywood stunt driver.
"Stuntman: Hollywood" is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. While Saber Interactive has not announced a specific release date, the trailer showed a mix of modern graphics and the series' signature chaotic gameplay. The original Stuntman games were known for their punishing difficulty and creative mission design, and this new title appears to aim for that same energy, but with a bigger budget and licensed properties.
Fans of the series have waited a long time for a proper sequel. The last major entry was released in the early 2000s. With Saber Interactive handling development, known for their work on "World War Z" and "Evil Dead: The Game," the project is in experienced hands. More details are expected in the coming months.
